Event Facts

Individual mobility is a basic human need and one of the fundamental liberties of democratic societies. It is undisputed that the mobility of the future must be low-emission and climate-friendly. To achieve this, proven technologies must be further developed, and the doors must be opened to new technologies. As is well known, the internal combustion engine has common ground with the e-drive, but it is important to always keep a sense of balance when evaluating and looking ahead. At no point in history has it been possible to save the best innovations from the past to improve the future of propulsion.

This is where the International AVL Emissions and Energy Forum comes in: Business, science, politics and society meet to jointly discuss the current state of knowledge as well as the projection for mobility, technology and living environments. Important topics are the legal framework, the energy sources and drives of the present and the future, the networking potentials through AI and, of course, the (measurement) technical possibilities.

Complex contexts require discourse and interdisciplinary personal exchange. We therefore cordially invite you to participate in the first International AVL Emissions and Energy Forum! In addition, let yourself be inspired by Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's timeless wisdom, which seems to be tailor-made for the question of future mobility:

Nothing puts more obstacles in the way of the progress of science than when you fail to look beyond the limits of technology. This is the mistake usually made by the enthusiastic inventors of hypotheses.
