Seit Anfang März rollt ein Scania P 340 mit Erdgasantrieb (CNG) für den Audi-Kontraktlogistiker Ihro durch den Standort des Automobilherstellers in Neckarsulm. Das Besondere daran: Es handelt sich bei dem Scania P 340 um die erste CNG-Volumensattelzugmaschine, die zum Transport von Megatrailern geeignet ist.

Ein schwedischer Tüftler hat aus der Antriebstechnik eines E-Bikes ein winziges Elektroauto gebaut. Die Außenhülle besteht aus Stoff und ist entsprechend leicht. Das Ergebnis ähnelt einem Mix aus Peel P50 und Renault Twizy, mit dem Unterschied, dass man beim PodRide noch selbst in die Pedale steigen muss.

The unveiling on Friday was in the form of a test drive in Toyohashi, in the Aichi Prefecture. The small vehicle moved over the electrified surface, which had two rail-like steel paths spaced to match the car’s special tires. The charge is derived from steel wires embedded in them, which serve as a conduit.
